The "Lost Boys" Review

The movie "The Lost Boys" was like an 80's vampire movie. The movie was set in Santa Carla California which is like a melting pot of people. The story revolves around two brothers, Michael who was 17 and his brother Sam somewhere in the mid-teens. Meanwhile there is a group of teens that cause trouble for people in Santa Carla and there is missing posters all around town.

The weird stuff starts to go on when Michael the older brother is at a concert at the beach. Michael sees a girl that catches his attention. He follows her around for a bit and never actually talks to her. Sam goes into a comic book store where he is talked to by two boys who tell him to read a vampire comic book.

The next day Michael is told he has to stay at home and watch his brother because his mother is going out. When his mother leaves Michael sneaks around his mom and leaves to go find the girl from before. While he is out Sam is reading the comic book on vampires. Michael finally meets the girl where she tells him her name:Star-He is going to go for a bite to eat with her but some dudes on bikes show up and Star's boyfriend makes her get on his bike.

Michael doesn't like this so he decides to follow them. When he follows them they go futher and further away from the city into the deep woods. They lead him to the edge of a cliff where he almost falls off and then take him to their hangout. While he is with them they offer him food where Michael is having some scary visions.

One is imagining that the rice is maggots and the other thinking the noodles were worms. Star yells out to leave em alone which adds to the decision. From there the Star boyfriend as David. David starts to drink out of a wine bottle. He offers Michael a drink and even though Star tells him not to he drinks from it.

Michael arrives home where he begins to stalk the sound of his brother in the bathtub. While Sam is bathing, the dog hears Michael coming and the dog attacks him. Sam starts to suspect his brother and makes him stay away from him all night. Michael falls asleep and wakes up to realize he is floating off the ground. His brother Sam finally decides to help Michael from floating away.

Michael goes down to hang out with David again to find the answers to what he has become and after playing a few mind games with him. David and his gang show michael what they really are. Michael is horrified as the vampires swoop down on some unsuspecting people. During the attack Michael lies on the ground trying to fight his own urge to attack for blood.

In the meantime Sam has reason to beieve that his mom's boyfriend Max is a vampire after reading about the Hounds of Hell part of his comic book. His mother almost gets attacked by the guy's dog. Sam calls his comic book friends to his mom's date with the guy.

At the dinner Sam,Edgar and Alan keep trying vampire test on Max. All it really does is annoy him and he wonders why they would do something like that. Curious part is when he is very curious about what the boys thought he was.

Michael goes to see Star and they wind up getting together per say where Michael leaves before David and his gang show up. Later on Michael comes up with a plan to get Star away from there. The comic book dude, Michael and Sam take off in their Grandpa's car to the vampire hangout.

Michael goes to find Star and realizes she has children with her. So Michael and the guys start to find their way out of the hangout without being seen.

While they are sneaking in Alan and Edgar are loaded with stakes and anti vampire weapondry. One of them sees a chance at killing a vampire and stabs the first one they see. The vampire doesn't go out easily because he makes a loud screaming that pretty much alerts the gang.

David is the one to catch on the quickest and almost snatches Sam buy lucky for Sam the vampire is burned in the sunlight where he retreats back into the hole. This is pretty much the part where everyhting climaxes.

So knowing that David will be wanting to kill Michael noow. Sam, Alan, Edgar, Star and Michael start prepping for the night attack. Bath full of Garlic water, stakes in hand, basically everything that the comic book nerds can think of.

Night comes and the boys are forced to fight off the vampires as they start to come in. One gets blown up with a boombox. Sam has his glory moment when he gets to stake one. A pretty cool part is when Alan and Edgar are pretty much cowering as one of the vampires is about to kill em. The guy laughs at the Garlic tub but when Sam's dog knocks him into the water he realizes it's holy water.

The mess of that death is just brutal as everything starts pumping blood everywhere. Meanwhile Michael is trying to get David to come out. After a few sneak attacks they both become locke to each other where David tries to put Michael on a stake. Ironically, David gets killed instead and Michael is still a vampire.

Although everything seems fine, Sam realizes that it had to have been Max the whole time. Max has his glory as he pretty much knocks everone away from him. The he restrains Sam and their mom is forced to go with Max to save him. Through the wall comes a car that pretty much propels Max into one giant stake.

Overrall this movie is like a 10 of 10 for me because of the eighties style and the brutality the vampires show off. Kind of shows a young and dangerous aspect to the movie.

the renaissance fair

Hey samllzzzzz here
And today we talk about the renaissance fair I went on October 27,2009 and it was my first time going. This fair sucked there was nothing to do besides walk in store-to-store there were some rides but most for little kids. Some of the actors they hade there did a really good job talking like we where still in that era but others acted like they didn’t want to be there. And don’t go on student’s days they close al the good stuff. There was no armory no swords and all the people could not where there normal costumes because they were not school appropriate. So maybe it was just the day we went but to me it sucked. Although I did have this one conversation with this lady that worked at an armory store and she said that it is much better if we come on a regular day so I might try that but to me this 3 hour ride there and back was not worth it at all…..

Psycho

hey smallzzzz here,
and im going to tell you about the movie Psycho
This movie was made in 1960 and was one of the best slasher movies if seen. This movie was not scary at all but was good because you don’t know who the killer is. This movie was very suspenseful about what’s going happen next and whose going to die and live. This movie was about a women (played by Janet Leigh) taking 40,000 from her boss and making a run for it. But then she gets tired and stops at a hotel and there turns out to be a killer there that was crazy. He lost his mother but never lost her in spirit and so one minute he could me his normal self then the next he could be acting like his mother. If you want a movie to compare this movie a one movie that took parts from this movie was scream. But I liked this movie because it pretty much inspired most of the slasher flicks we see today. And every time I see this movie it gets better and better. So from what I saw I give this movie 9 out of 10 stars!!!!!!!

"Hush"

Hey smallzzzzz here,

So this episode of Buffy the vampire slayer is called Hush mainly because in the first five minutes of the show the characters voices get lost and don’t come back till the last five minutes. The reason Joseph Hill "Joss" Whedon made this episode to show that he can make a good show with out any dialog. But my favorite line I this episode Is right before they loose there voices a little girl was singing: Can't even shout, can't even cry

The Gentlemen are coming by.

Looking in windows, knocking on doors,

They need to take seven and they might take yours.

Can't call to mom, can't say a word,

You're gonna die screaming but you won't be heard.

But theses monster that are coming to take their heart is based off a fairy tale but what I like about this song is that it explains everything like when they say the first line cant shout cant cry that means they lose there voice. And when they say the gentlemen are coming by that means that somebody’s coming by but no one knows whom. They need 7 they might take yours they need 7 harts and the will kill you. Your ganna die screaming but you wont be heard you can scream but you wont be hard. Bur this show was the best one of the Buffy series yet because it shows how other people react when you can’t talk. So yep I give this show a 9 out of 10 and recommend it for anyone of any age.

"Hush" Buffy The Vampire Slayer

Yo Bigs Here
The episode "Hush" was pretty crazy because they used silence to show a different sense of fear. The fear of not being able to scream or talk when being attacked is pretty scary. Basically what happens is that all the people in Sunnydale lose their voices.

The episode starts with the main character having a very intimate daydream about some guy in her class when she forsees a creepy dream of a girl singing a creepy song.(very familiar to nightmare on elm street creep out song)

Beginning of the episode starts with Buffy having trouble talking to a guy and Willow having trouble talking to the girls in her witch group.
The episode starts out with everyone goin about their daily lives until one night some very strange people show up. The whole time these guys are perfectly silent. The only thing that really happens is that a bunch of air is taken from everybodys mouths.

In the morning buffy and her friend willow realize that their voices are gone. Everyone seems really depressed because they can't speak. Mostly everyone is trying to figure out whats going on.

The suspicions kick in when a news report from a nearby town shows that the missing voices seem to be just in Sunnydale. Giles the professor that helps buffy does some research on the occurences.

The next night a random guy wakes up to realize someone is at his doorway. He opens the door where he is attacked by one of the strange beings and is held down by two guys wrapped in straight jackets and faces covered in bandages.

That morning buffy and her friends are given a slide show on the strange occurences where Giles shows them that he knows what they are. Buffy and Willow have whiteboards so they can communicate. Giles also explains that only the princesses scream can stop the Gentlemen.

Unfortunately no one can talk.

Giles figures out that they are fairytale creatures called the Gentlemen. Giles explains that they take hearts until they have 7. He also tells them that Buffy has to patrol that night for everybody.

That night the Gentlemen come back for more hearts and some find Buffy where she runs to escape. That one guy Buffy likes gets attacked by the Gentlemen too. Meanwhile Willow wakes up to hear a knocking down the hall. The strange girl from Willow's witch group goes to answer a door and it is one of the Gentlemen holding a heart.

Buffy fights some of em off where she meets up with her boyfriend or whatever and they kiss cause they found each other safe. Willow helps that on chick get away as they run away from the Gentlemen they find a room to hide in.

Buffy is getting closer to trapping herself as she moves up a corridor to a clock tower. The Gentlemen all start to close in on Buffy and her dude. Willow and her friend manage to avoid the gentlemen by blocking the door with their witchcraft.

So near the end Buffy finds herself outnumbered and she is about to get killed but where her boyfriend destroys a box and Buffy is able to scream so the gentlemen's heads explode. The END

Nosferatu

hey smallzzzzzzz here,

The movie Nosferatu was the beginning of the vampire era. This movie was made in 1922 and was a silent film. From my point of view I thought that this movie was boring and I couldn’t sit still during the whole movie. But in the time era it was made this movie was suppose to be extremely scary, some people couldn’t go to sleep after they watched this movie and they also used to wake up in the middle of the night and see Nosferatu standing in the middle of there room. The movie to me was extremely boring but mostly because it was a silent film.
But I do think that the actor that played this blood thirsty vampire stayed in role the whole time they said that after they were done filming that he was still in role and would scare the crap out of people. So I recommend this movie for vampire lovers and silent film lovers just so you can see how this vampire era got started. So check it out but trust be BEWARE!!!!!!

Blog On Nosferato

Yo Bigs Here,
The movie "Nosferatu" is about a relly creepy vampire. The movie starts with a guy going to transylvania to go for job oppurtunity when he finds out his host is a something he cannot explain. Basically the reason the guy is getting attacked by the guy cause he chooses to explore the dangers of the unknown. The main thing to help him out is a book that explains the nosferatu. The ironic thing is that the guy wife winds up having visions of the Nosferatu trying to creep up on her husband at night. Parts of the movie also explain how the Nosferatu sleeps and how he taken from place to place.
